#SSAmazingAchievements 06/10/2017 Annual Review Time

Sir’s Statement of Educational Need is being changed to an Education Health and Care Plan (as is Madam’s, in fact hers is done and the change of school is the result) anyway, I had to attend a meeting to see what was what.

I got the opportunity to meet his new teacher Mr H, who is very nice and seems to have got the measure of Sir LOL! Mr H told me that Sir knows ALL the Julia Donaldson books off by heart, he uses the toilet regularly, he has friends outside of his class who he spends time with at break time (nearly cried at that) he has had issues about actually going into class, but he does this every year and he’ll soon settle. He still takes his shoes and socks off when upset but at least now he’ll give a running commentary as to what he’s doing and why. He has moved from a class of four to a class of eight, which is a big thing for him, but he’s coping very well with the changes.

Normally these kinds of review meetings are not the most pleasant as you have to look at the *negatives* but in this case I came away feeling quite proud of him 🙂

  1. I’m so glad your review went well. It sounds like there are so many positives there for you. We had our meeting this week too. I was a little bit worried but we actually learned a few new tricks ;0)

Thanks for linking up with Small Steps Amazing Achievements

  2. Well done Sir, the meeting sounds really positive.
We have D’s ECHP meeting next month, after years of saying that her statement needs updating, it’s finally happening, yay! #SmallStepsAA
