#SSAmazingAchievements 21/09/2017 Wearing Pants At Home

My ongoing attempts to get Sir toilet trained at home have been well documented on here, the main stumbling block has been his point blank refusal to even consider wearing his pants when at home. He will wear them at school, at Drayton Manor Park and on holiday when we go swimming he will happily put them on when we get dressed afterwards, but not at home.

Since he was so insistent on “pants for school” I got him some different pants, put them in a different draw and called them “pants for home”

This weekend we decided he has to start wearing them even if it’s only for a short while, so the deal would be if he wanted us to play with his train set with him, he’d have to wear pants.

And much to our surprise it worked. He wore them for 45 minutes on Saturday and an hour on Sunday. That might not seem like a lot but for Sir it’s a huge step forwards. He also has to sit on the toilet before he puts them on and whenever he wants his pad back.

Fingers crossed we might actually start getting somewhere!

  1. Isn’t it funny how you really have to think of things in a different way. Just a different colour could make such a difference. I really hope this progress continues for you. I’m having a battle with my daughter at the moment and she was meant to be the easy one!
