Word of the Week 25/11/2016 Winter #WotW

After a really nice autumn that seemed to go on for ages, winter has finally arrived. The temperature has dropped, the heating is on, jumpers have come out of the wardrobe and winter duvets are on the beds. Everyone I talk to seems very surprised by how cold it is though! we shouldn’t be, after all it is the end of November 😀 and Christmas is one month today..

Today it is nice and sunny but on Monday.. oh my life.. I got soaked on the school run, soaked taking Sir to the dentist, soaked taking him back to school, soaked again picking Madam up.. took until 10pm for my coat to dry out.

So bring on winter, the big coats, the gloves and scarves, even bring on Christmas. Just do not s**w… LOL!

  1. We’ve had a cold and wet week in the Pacific Northwest as well, but yesterday was the worst — I don’t think it stopped raining once all day and the wind was exhausting. But today’s a new day and the sun is shining again! #WotW

I think people are shocked at the sudden change in temperature because we’ve had such mild winters the last couple of years. I will take the frost over the rain any day especially on the school run. #WotW
