Word of the Week 24/09/2016 Trip #WotW

Madam bought home a letter from school this week about a three day residential trip to a local outdoor activity centre. She is desperate to go 🙂 but because there are a few issues that need resolving, the trip has been the subject of much discussion this week.

By *much discussion* I mean I had a Mummy Moment… as you do.

We don’t need to pay the deposit until November, money is not one of the issues, but it does give us some time to sort things out.

The most important issue was that up until last night, Madam was still wearing night pants to sleep in. Obviously that has to stop, regardless of whether she goes or not. So, after talking to her about it, she went to sleep last night without them.. and she stayed dry 😀 Very proud of her.

The second issue was what buddy support would she have whilst she was there? Well that was answered by a note in her diary from Mrs B, saying that she was hoping to go on the trip too 😀 I have a feeling the SENCO will be going to, so that made me feel happier.

There are a couple of other things I’d like to know about, apparently we can ask questions at the next Parents Evening. But as things stand at the moment, I see no reason why she can’t go. I actually think it will do her good, a similar trip did wonders for Sir.

Apart from the fact my little girl is growing up far too fast and it has to stop! LOL! also I reserve the right to several more Mummy Moments before she goes and when she’s there 🙂
