#SSAmazingAchievements 7/1/2016 The Gruffalo

One afternoon last year, Sir came home from school reciting The Gruffalo, apparently they’d been reading the book in class and it seemed he really liked it. In fact all we have heard for the last month is “silly old owl, doesn’t he know? there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo!”

So, Santa made an emergency Amazon order for both The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child books 😉 needless to say, they have been a big hit. Yesterday he asked me to look for the Gruffalo on Youtube, and he spent all evening watching and giggling at the animations. Then he had it read to him for his bedtime story.

This is the first book he has sought out for himself. Normally we buy Thomas books or take a very wild guess at what he might like. We are both proud and pleased that he has found something he likes more or less on his own. I’m hoping this liking for books continues as Hubby, Madam and I all love to read.

This is lovely, Ethan had an obsession with the Gruffalo when he was two. They actually do a Gruffalo trail in Essex that we took him to. I’m glad Santa was able to arrange the last minute gifts.

Thanks for linking up with Small Steps Amazing Achievements :0)
