#SSAmazingAchievements 4/7/2015 Madam’s Sports Day

Don’t you just love the school sports day? Guaranteed weather extremes.. either biblical rainstorms or blazing heat… on Tuesday it was the latter.

Flashback to last year and it was also a hot day. Madam refused point blank to join in anything despite the best efforts of her ‘buddy’ the wonderful Mrs C who at the time was Madam’s 1:1. And at the end, when the winners were announced, her team came second. She stood up in the middle of the field and called the winning team a “bunch of cheats”…

The ground stubbornly refused to swallow me up. Apparently her new buddy Mrs B had seen Mrs C the day before..

“Are you doing a rain dance for tomorrow Mrs B?”

This year I arrived a little late having finished work and gone home to quickly eat lunch, things weren’t going too well… but she did settle down and took part in almost all of the games. She didn’t throw a strop when if she couldn’t do it, she waited nicely in line for her turn and she didn’t accuse anyone of cheating 😉

As it happened her team won! she looked very very happy 😀

Mrs B and I breathed a sigh of relief and I think Mrs C would have been very proud.

So glad this sports day went well. I had to laugh at the “bunch of cheats” comment. I sometimes wish I had that honesty ;0) I bet you were glad her team won.

Thanks for linking up with Small Steps Amazing Achievements :0)
