Madam is terrified of dogs. Don’t ask me why because I don’t know. Nothing has ever happened, we’ve never had a dog and to my knowledge one has never turned on her or bitten her. Even so, she will run into the middle of the road to get away from a dog. Perfectly well behaved, on a lead, smaller than her, bigger than her, with their owners it doesn’t matter.
My brother and his fiancée got a West Highland Terrier at the start of the year called Harvey. He’s very cute 🙂 Madam was petrified of him and wouldn’t go near him. Although we all live near each other we don’t get together that often so she’s only seen Harvey once or twice which is not enough to get used to him.
On Father’s Day we all went to Mum and Dad’s for dinner. Naturally Harvey came along too. Madam was a bit skittish at first, then she decided to watch him from a distance. After a while she joined Mum, my brother and Harvey in the garden. Within ten minutes she was stroking him, fussing him and even gave him a cuddle! Unfortunately I didn’t have a camera to hand to photograph this big moment, not that I’d post the pictures on here but it would have been nice to have.
